Betaine HCI with Pepsin
Betaine Hydrochloride and Pepsin Complex
Increasing age is accompanied by a gradual decline in important organ functions. Thus, during ageing, the production of hydrochloric acid often decreases, thus affecting the normal breakdown of food. In addition to food breakdown, hydrochloric acid plays an important role in the performance of other important organ functions, such as food sterilisation and the activation of pepsin which contributes to the absorption of vitamin B12.
Lamberts® Betaine HCI formulation provides 324mg of betaine hydrochloride and 5mg of pepsin per tablet. The tablet is specially designed to dissolve within 30 minutes of ingestion inside the stomach , releasing hydrochloric acid and pepsin.
