Each Lamberts® L- Lysine tablet provides 1000mg of lysine hydrochloride in free form, ready to be absorbed by the body, without requiring its breakdown by digestive enzymes.

The lysine used in this formulation meets USP (United States Pharmacopeia Reference Standard) criteria , being the form of lysine that has been used in published clinical studies.

Lysine is an essential proteogenic amino acid and therefore its adequate dietary intake is necessary for protein synthesis. Lysine is found in relatively small amounts in dietary sources of plant origin, such as seeds and cereals.

This poses a risk of inadequate dietary intake by people with certain dietary restrictions, such as exclusive vegetarians.

In addition to protein synthesis, lysine is involved in important biological functions such as carnitine synthesis, collagen synthesis , iron absorption and calcium homeostasis.

Directions +

Take 1-2 tablets daily with water or fruit juice or as recommended by your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake. Amino acids are best absorbed when taken half an hour before eating or sleeping.
