High-strength herbal antioxidant complex
A significant number of molecules with antioxidant activity come from our diet, contributing greatly to the body’s antioxidant capacity (e.g., vitamin E*, selenium*, etc.). The antioxidant activity of these molecules is measured in ORAC units (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity Units).
It is particularly interesting that certain active compounds found in herbs (especially phenolic compounds) are much more effective at neutralizing free radicals than antioxidant vitamins C and E.
