Biotin 500μg
Biotin (Vitamin B7) High Strength
Biotin (or Vitamin B7) is the seventh vitamin in the B-complex group. Besides dietary intake, a portion of biotin is produced by the bacteria of the intestinal flora. Therefore, long-term use of antibiotics and other medications that disrupt the balance of the gut microbiota can affect the bacterial production of this vitamin.
As a coenzyme, biotin participates in the production of energy through the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins. In this way, it contributes to the normal metabolism of macronutrients and consequently to the normal function of metabolic processes aimed at energy production*.
The role of biotin as a coenzyme is not limited to metabolism but also extends to other physiological processes, such as the production of prostaglandins from the lipids of cell membranes. Thus, it contributes to normal psychological function, the normal functioning of the nervous system, and the maintenance of healthy hair, skin, and mucous membranes*.
Biotin 500μg provides 500μg of biotin per capsule and, like all Lamberts® products, is manufactured in the United Kingdom under strict pharmaceutical GMP standards (Pharmaceutical GMP).
