This vitamin D formulation is an excellent choice for vegetarians and vegans. The vitamin D contained in this product is exclusively of plant origin, derived from the processing of an oily extract of lichen.
Lichens are symbiotic organisms composed of algae and fungi, possessing unique biological properties, including the ability to survive in extreme climatic conditions and to concentrate micronutrients, among which is cholecalciferol.
There are numerous species of lichens in nature. After years of research, Lamberts® has selected a specific species considered one of the best natural sources of cholecalciferol.
Since lichens grow very slowly, the choice of the lichen species was made with sustainability in mind. Additionally, no pesticides are used in the cultivation of the lichen, ensuring the purity and safety of the final product.
Each capsule provides 1000 IU of vitamin D3 exclusively of plant origin and, like all Lamberts® products, is manufactured in the United Kingdom according to the strict standards of Pharmaceutical GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
