Astaxanthin belongs to the carotenoids, being one of the most powerful plant antioxidants. It acts synergistically with the other carotenoids, especially with zeaxanthin and lutein. In this formulation the astaxanthin used is 100% natural, derived from a freshwater green algae called Haematococcus pluvialis.<\/p>\n
