Although the first historically recorded use of artichoke (Cynara scolymus<\/em>) as an herbal remedy was for the treatment of indigestion, modern research has linked artichoke to lipid metabolism, as it appears to support the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels*.<\/p>\n
