Always use the clinically effective dose of the active ingredient
The potency and effectiveness of dietary supplements is directly related to their content of active ingredients. The administration of the correct concentration is the cornerstone of clinical practice, which is difficult to achieve with the majority of supplements on the market.

EFFECTIVENESS

High-strength products based on sufficient and reliable scientific data.

The potency of our formulations is the result of 3 factors:

Preparation of products based on adequate and reliable scientific data
In the dietary supplement industry there is a huge number of formulations whose active ingredients are characterised by insufficient or negligible scientific background. The Lamberts® strategy, however, is to develop exclusively those products for which there is sufficient and reliable scientific data, as determined through published clinical studies.

Use of the appropriate pharmaceutical formulation that ensures optimal absorption and bioavailability
The absorption and bioavailability of the active ingredients is extremely important to achieve the desired biological action. At Lamberts® we select those pharmacotechnical forms (capsules, tablets, powder, oily suspension) that ensure maximum absorption and bioavailability for the active ingredient in question. All excipients are approved by the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and meet European Pharmacopoeia standards.

SUSTAINABILITY

Sustainability, is the modern vision of Lamberts®, reflecting a production standard that ensures the best economic outcome for both people and the natural environment.

Sustainability, is the modern vision of Lamberts®, reflecting a production standard that ensures the best economic outcome for both people and the natural environment, for the present and for the future. This vision is becoming increasingly relevant because the healthcare industry is collectively the 13th largest producer of CO2 worldwide. But as many companies engage in greenwashing practices, it is important to extend our vision beyond superficial measures such as “glass packaging” by effectively addressing the causes associated with increased CO2 emissions.

For this reason Lamberts® is constantly looking for alternative active ingredients of plant origin which are identical in terms of bioequivalence to active ingredients of animal origin. A typical example is GlucosaGreen®, the first commercially available form of glucosamine sulphate, which is produced from non-GMO corn through a specialised and innovative fermentation process. This process ensures the production of glucosamine sulfate that is identical and bioequivalent to shellfish glucosamine sulfate. In addition, the whole production process is environmentally friendly as it requires less consumption of water and other raw materials and is accompanied by an overwhelmingly lower production of liquid and solid waste.

Safety

Ensuring the health of the consumer is our main priority. Raw materials, pharmaceutical manufacturing practice (GMP) and the choice of packaging guarantee the maximum safety of our products.

Ensuring the health of the consumer is our main priority. This is achieved by implementing 4 key steps in the manufacture of all our formulations.

1. Selection of high quality raw materials

Lamberts® raw materials purchasing managers have many years of experience in selecting reliable suppliers. The selected manufacturers are then subjected to continuous sampling and rigorous testing of their raw materials before they become Lamberts® suppliers. The raw materials used in the manufacture of all Lamberts® products:

– comply with the specifications used in pharmacopoeia

– concern substances intended for human clinical nutrition

– have not been irradiated as part of sterilisation.

2. Thorough control of raw materials

Many natural ingredients used as raw materials in the manufacture of food supplements can be contaminated by environmental factors. We are therefore constantly vigilant and use a routine chemical analysis process to ensure that the ingredients in the list below are either absent or found at levels well below the strict European Union limits.

– Aflatoxins (aflatoxins are toxic and carcinogenic metabolites produced by the

Asp. flavus and Asp. parasiticus).

– antibiotics

– Genetically Modified Raw Materials

– Irradiated components

– Heavy metals

– PCBs – Polychlorinated biphenyls

– PAHs – Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons)

4. Product packaging

Lamberts® products are packaged in special, opaque HDPE (High Density Polythene) containers. The choice of this particular packaging material was made to avoid oxidation of the nutrients after exposure to visible light and ultraviolet radiation.

Informative and accurate labels to assure the consumer

Lamberts® has been a pioneer in accurate labelling in nutritional supplements, as the quality of the formulations requires the correct and accurate indication on the product labels of their content of active ingredients, excipients and allergens. At Lamberts® we take seriously the use of the correct terms for all the active ingredients in our formulations, without omitting the mention of any excipient used. The information shown on the labels is an accurate reference to the ingredients contained in the product and has been approved by the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.

Nutrient Reference Values (NRV) recording

The nutrient reference values (NRVs) are a group of values set by the European Union that refer to the levels of intake of a nutrient (vitamin or mineral) by a healthy population, with the aim of avoiding its deficiency. Reference intake values have currently been established for 13 vitamins and 14 minerals. When a Lamberts® formulation contains any of these vitamins or minerals, the percentage (%) of the established nutritional reference value is indicated on the label.

Listing of Excipients

In order to achieve the desired content of active ingredients and the preparation of the optimal pharmacotechnical form (tablets, capsules, etc.) it is necessary to use specific inactive ingredients (excipients). It is difficult, if not impossible, to prepare food supplements and herbal products without the use of certain inactive ingredients. Manufacturers who claim otherwise are hiding the truth or manufacturing inaccurate and unreliable products. All the excipients used in the manufacture of our products are approved by the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and meet European Pharmacopoeia standards.

3.Pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practice (Pharmaceutical GMP)

Pharmaceutical Good Manufac-turing Practice (GMP) is a certification of high standards of production quality that ensures that products are produced and controlled continuously according to strictly defined quality standards. It applies to all aspects of pharmaceutical production, from raw materials, manufacturing sites and equipment, to staff training and personal hygiene.

Without this certification, it is impossible to be sure that each batch of formulations is of the same high quality as the original, as during production there is a risk of unexpected contamination, an error in the labelling of the formulations, as well as the risk of lower (reduced yield) or higher (risk of toxicity) content of the active ingredients in the formulations.

For this reason we insist that all our products are produced in our Pharmaceutical GMP certified facilities. The operation of all Lamberts® factories is under the approval of the UK Department of Health’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

Allergens recording

The majority of Lamberts® products do not contain any substance known to cause allergic reactions in people with a known history of hypersensitivity reactions. When an allergen from the list below is present in the formulation, it is indicated in bold on the product label. The way in which food allergens are labelled on the label of our formulations fully complies with the requirements set out in the European Union Regulation on consumer information

(EU Food Information Consumers Regulation / EU FIC).

CLINICAL STUDIES

Over the last 20 years we have invested over €2,000,000 in clinical nutrition studies, working jointly with many research departments of major Universities in the UK and Greece.

Lamberts® is one of the few, if not the only, clinical nutrition supplement company with such a programmed focus on clinical research . Over the last 20 years we have invested over €2,000,000 in clinical nutrition studies, working jointly with many research departments of major UK Universities to conduct studies in various areas of clinical practice, such as the use of magnesium in the treatment of asthma and the use of anthocyanidins in the treatment of fluid retention.

The emphasis on clinical research is also demonstrated by the fact that the company’s collaboration with University Clinics is not only limited to the UK borders, but extends to all countries where formulations are exported. In Greece, important studies have been carried out, such as the administration of selenium to sufferers of autoimmune thyroiditis, the administration of vitamin D to sufferers of metabolic syndrome, the administration of antioxidants to sufferers of idiopathic tinnitus, etc.
