Beta-carotene is one of the most important plant pigments and is widely distributed throughout the plant kingdom. It belongs to the carotenoid family and, when taken orally, acts as a precursor to vitamin A. For this reason, it is often referred to in the literature as “provitamin A.”

The conversion of beta-carotene into vitamin A takes place in the liver, kidneys, and intestinal mucosa, and the rate of conversion depends on the body’s physiological needs.

Beta-carotene is considered one of the most important micronutrients, as it is one of the main dietary antioxidants.

The beta-carotene in this dietary supplement is 100% natural, as it is extracted from the alga Dunaliella salina.

Dunaliella salina is a pink-colored alga found on the surfaces of marine lagoons and, in addition to beta -carotene, contains small amounts of other carotenoids (lutein and zeaxanthin).

The alga is cultivated in a high-salt aqueous environment, which helps prevent contamination of the final product by pathogenic microorganisms.

As with all Lamberts® formulations, it is manufactured in the United Kingdom according to the strict standards of Pharmaceutical GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).

Directions +

Adults take 1 capsule daily with a meal, or as directed by a practitioner or pharmacist.
Do not exceed recommended daily intake.
