Riboflavin 50mg
High Potency Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)
Riboflavin, also known as vitamin B2, was discovered in 1930 and, like all B-complex vitamins, is water-soluble. Riboflavin is not produced by the body and must therefore be obtained through the diet.
Although riboflavin is best known for its role in metabolism—supporting the normal functioning of energy-yielding metabolic processes*—it is also involved in a wide range of essential biological functions. These include protecting cells from oxidative stress, supporting the normal metabolism of iron, maintaining healthy vision, supporting the normal function of the nervous system, and maintaining the normal condition of mucous membranes and skin.*
