Vegan DHA
DHA from controlled-cultivation algae
People with strict dietary restrictions, such as vegetarians and vegans, are at an increased risk of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. To provide dietary coverage of omega-3 fatty acids for these specific population groups, Lamberts has developed a range of dietary supplements derived from the algae Schizochytrium sp.
This particular algae is an important source of EPA and DHA and is an integral part of the marine food chain, serving as the primary food for small marine organisms (plankton and krill), which in turn are the food for larger fish.
The cultivation of the algae used for the production of this range takes place in a controlled environment, ensuring the absence of environmental contaminants in the produced oil.
The oil contains omega-3 fatty acids in their triglyceride form and is protected from oxidation by the addition of natural antioxidants (tocopherols and rosemary extract).
Vegan DHA is a dietary supplement derived from the algae Schizochytrium sp., providing 250 mg of DHA per capsule, an amount that contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision*.
Like all Lamberts® products, it is manufactured in the United Kingdom according to the strict standards of Pharmaceutical GMP.
NOTE: In addition to vegetarians and vegans, this supplement may also be used by individuals allergic to fish, who are at increased risk of DHA dietary deficiency.
